One person was trapped in the blaze that broke out at a home on the 700 block of Plum Street in Southampton around 4:45 a.m., CBS3 reports.
Firefighters were able to rescue one person who remained hospitalized as of 9 a.m., while the other did not make it out of the house, 6abc says.
A firefighter reportedly was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
No word yet on the cause.
